Handyman prices in Berlin: a fixed price before we start

Most trouble with tradespeople starts at the invoice, not at the work. An hourly rate tells you little as long as nobody knows how many hours it will take. So we give you a price for your specific job – and that price holds.

We deliberately don’t publish one-size-fits-all rates: replacing a socket in a drywall partition takes twenty minutes, in an old building with old wiring it can take considerably longer. A fixed price for your case is more honest than a “from” price that falls apart on site.

Tell us by phone, WhatsApp or the form what needs doing – photos or a short video help most. For straightforward jobs we name the fixed price straight away, usually within one working day. For bigger projects such as renovations or moves we look at the situation first, on site or by video.

If it turns out during the work that more is needed than agreed – say, a failing cable behind the wall – we stop, explain what we found and name the extra price. We only continue once you agree. Anything done without your approval is not billed.

Household trade services qualify for a tax reduction under § 35a of the German Income Tax Act: 20 percent of the labour cost comes off your income tax, up to 1,200 euros a year. Household-related services such as cleaning have their own limit of up to 4,000 euros.
