Electrical work we take on
We focus on the electrical jobs that actually come up in lived-in homes – small to medium-sized, done cleanly and documented.
Sockets and switches
Replacing faulty sockets and switches, adding new sockets, renewing covers and frames – single jobs welcome, no minimum order.
Lights and light fittings
Mounting and connecting ceiling lights, wall lights and spotlights, LED upgrades and dimmers that match the bulbs.
Cookers, ovens and appliances
Connecting cookers and hobs with a function test, connecting ovens and cooker hoods, appliance connections when you move in or out.
Fuses and RCDs
Finding the fault when a circuit breaker or the RCD (FI switch) keeps tripping, replacing faulty breakers.
Doorbells and intercoms
Repairing or replacing bell pushes, door openers and the in-flat unit of an intercom system.
Small repairs and testing
Loose boxes, bad contacts, scorched terminals – followed by a test of the work done and a short written record.
Typical jobs
- Replace or add a socket
- Replace a light switch
- Connect a ceiling light
- Install LED spotlights
- Connect a cooker and hob
- Connect an oven
- Check and replace a fuse
- RCD keeps tripping – fault finding
- Repair doorbell and door opener
- Connect appliances when moving in
Wiring in Berlin’s old buildings
Many Berlin apartments are in pre-war buildings (Altbau) whose wiring has been renewed piecemeal over decades. Next to modern circuits you can still find two-core cables without an earth conductor, boxes hidden behind stucco or cables nobody ever documented. That is why we check what is actually in the wall before we name a price.
If we find something that is no longer up to current standards, we tell you – with an honest view of what is urgent and what can wait. We only do additional work if you agree to it.
What we honestly pass on to specialists
Larger projects such as a full rewire, work on the meter cabinet or a new distribution board are assessed case by case. We tell you openly whether we take the job or whether it belongs with a firm that specialises in it – before any cost arises.
How much does an electrician cost in Berlin?
With us the price is fixed before work starts: you describe the job – ideally with one or two photos – and receive a written fixed price. Travel within Berlin is included. Materials are charged at purchase price plus a customary margin and itemised in the quote.
If it turns out on site that more is needed than agreed, we stop and clear the extra work with you first. Anything done without your approval is not billed. The invoice shows the labour share separately, so you can claim it as a household trade service on your German tax return.
What determines the price
- Number of connection points and rooms
- Wall type: drywall is quicker than solid Altbau brick
- Whether cables exist or need to be laid
- Planned appointment or short-notice job – planned costs less
How quickly can an electrician come?
We usually reply to enquiries within one working day, and appointments are often available as soon as the next working day. Our office at Landhausstraße 31 in Wilmersdorf is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. For genuine emergencies – for example the whole flat without power after a short circuit – our phone is answered 24/7; we tell you on the phone how soon someone can be there.
We work in all twelve Berlin districts, from Spandau to Marzahn-Hellersdorf, on the same fixed-price principle.

Frequently asked questions
Do you come out for just one socket or light?
Yes. We take on small electrical jobs with no minimum order value. You get a fixed price upfront based on the actual work involved – travel within Berlin is already included.
Can I connect my cooker myself?
We advise against it. An electric cooker is hard-wired to a high-current supply; wrongly set bridges destroy the appliance, and in case of damage your insurance may not cover it. Our electrician connects cooker and hob and then tests that everything works.
My fuse keeps tripping – what should I do?
First switch off and unplug the appliances you turned on last. If the breaker or the RCD still trips, the fault is usually in the installation or in one appliance. Then give us a call – we will find the cause.
How soon can I get an appointment?
We usually reply within one working day, and an appointment is often possible as soon as the next working day. On request we combine plannable work with your move-in or handover date.
Is there an emergency electrician service?
Our phone is answered 24/7, emergencies included. In a real emergency – no power in the whole flat, a burning smell, sparks – call us. We tell you straight away how soon someone can come and what to do until then.
Do your electricians speak English?
Yes. Enquiry, quote, appointment and invoice can run entirely in English – many international tenants in Berlin use us for exactly that reason.
Can I deduct the cost from my taxes?
In Germany, household trade services are partly tax-deductible: 20 percent of the labour cost, up to a 1,200 euro tax reduction per year. Our invoices show the labour share separately for this purpose.
