What our kitchen installation covers

A new kitchen needs two things: careful assembly and proper connections. We do both, so you don’t have to coordinate a furniture fitter and an electrician separately.

  • Assembling and levelling cabinets

Base and tall units assembled, wall cabinets hung securely, doors, handles and plinths adjusted.

  • Worktop

Cutting worktops to size, making the cut-outs for sink and hob, fitting the worktop and sealing it against the wall.

  • Cooker, hob and oven

Connected to the high-current supply by our qualified electrician, with a function test before we leave.

  • Sink and dishwasher

Fitting sink and tap, connecting the dishwasher to water supply and waste, and checking for leaks on the first run.

  • Extractor hood

Mounting and wiring the hood, in recirculation mode or to an existing extraction duct.

  • Removal and small repairs

Taking out an old kitchen, dismantling and rebuilding it when you move, adjusting hinges and drawers on existing kitchens.

Why so many Berlin flats need a kitchen fitted

Many newcomers are surprised to find that unfurnished rental flats in Germany often come without a kitchen – sometimes not even a sink. Many people then buy an IKEA kitchen. Send us your IKEA kitchen plan or shopping list plus photos of the wall with the water and power points, and we give you a written fixed price for assembly and connection.

Before the appointment, check the delivery: are all packages there, and does the count match the delivery note? Missing parts can stop an installation halfway. Put the boxes in another room if you can, and keep the kitchen wall clear so we can start straight away.

Fitting kitchens in Berlin’s old buildings

In a pre-war Altbau, walls are rarely straight and floorboards rarely level. We level base units on their adjustable feet and take up wall deviations at the worktop and trims. For wall cabinets we check what the wall is made of: old brick, plasterboard and GDR-era concrete each need different fixings to hold a full cabinet safely.

If your flat is in a rear building (Hinterhof) without a lift, we plan for carrying the packages up. That affects time and price, so we ask before we write the quote.

What we honestly pass on to specialists

A gas cooker belongs with a firm registered for gas work. Stone and quartz worktops are usually made to measure by the manufacturer; whether we can fit one is decided case by case. If new water or power lines are needed, we assess the work first and include it in the fixed price – before any cost arises.

How much does kitchen installation cost in Berlin?

The price is fixed before work starts. Based on your kitchen plan and photos of the connections, you get a written fixed price with travel within Berlin included. Small materials such as fixings, silicone or connection hoses are charged at purchase price plus a customary margin and itemised in the quote.

If more is needed on site – a new water connection, say – we stop and agree it with you first. Anything done without your approval is not billed. The invoice shows labour separately, so you can claim it on your German tax return.

What determines the price

  • Kitchen size and number of cabinets
  • Worktop: length, cut-outs, corner joints
  • Which appliances need connecting
  • Whether power and water points already exist
  • Whether an old kitchen has to come out first
  • Floor and access, e.g. a rear building without a lift
How our prices work

How soon can you install my kitchen?

We usually reply within one working day, and appointments are often available as soon as the next working day. If you know your delivery date, tell us early and we’ll book the installation right after it – planned appointments cost less than short-notice ones. Our office at Landhausstraße 31 in Wilmersdorf is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

We install kitchens in all twelve Berlin districts on the same fixed-price principle.

Frequently asked questions

Do you assemble IKEA kitchens?

Yes. We assemble kitchens from any manufacturer – IKEA as well as other furniture stores. Send us your kitchen plan or shopping list and you get a fixed price for assembly and connection. We can also take out your old kitchen on request.

Can I connect my cooker myself?

We advise against it. An electric cooker is hard-wired to a high-current supply; wrongly set bridges destroy the appliance, and in case of damage your insurance may not cover it. Our electrician connects cooker and hob and then tests that everything works.

Is connecting the dishwasher included?

Yes, if a water supply and waste connection are already there. If a new connection is needed, we tell you beforehand and include it transparently in the fixed price, so there are no surprises on installation day.

Do you cut the worktop to size?

Yes. We cut wood, laminate and similar worktops on site, make the cut-outs for sink and hob and seal the edges. Stone and quartz worktops are usually made to measure by the manufacturer.

I’m moving out – can you take my kitchen with me?

Yes. In Berlin it’s common for tenants to own their kitchen. We dismantle it, and on request rebuild and adapt it in your new flat – moving and transport are among our own services too, so it can all be one job.

Can I book an English-speaking kitchen fitter?

Yes. Enquiry, quote, appointment and invoice can run entirely in English, and our customer portal shows the job status with photos and documents. Your IKEA plan works in any language – just send it over.

Can I deduct the cost from my taxes?

Yes, partly. In Germany, household trade services are deductible at 20 percent of the labour cost, up to a 1,200 euro tax reduction per year – kitchen installation included. Our invoices show the labour share separately.
